This month’s moment is by Michael Stewart Robb, a writer in Munich and the Sanctus director.
Yesterday I attended a meet-up for German speakers interested in the ministry Practicing the Way, the ministry of John Mark Comer. It was a good event and an opportunity to renew some relationships and begin new ones. I had planned to get there and back in a day. So, leaving the meeting abruptly, I was surprised to meet one of my new contacts while on the bus to the train station. I rejoiced that I could continue the friend-making, since relationships are the main reason I attend such events.
Well, the trains were having severe problems. I knew I would be home late and I realized that meeting this man was an appointment set up by God. Noticing that, I was at peace giving the rest of my evening to discussing life and ministry with him, a German who returned home after 6 years overseas. We had a little adventure trying to navigate the trains but, instead of being a nuisance, I knew that God was involved. We parted after three hours. Hopefully he got home.
I, however, didn't. I only got to my bed at my in-laws at 11:20 and had take the train in the morning. I write from that train. But I know that God orders my steps. We'll see what comes.
